All are welcome to attend the gatherings described below. Please contact us for event details.

  • Holy Days Programs
There are nine days in the Bahá’í calendar that are set aside to be observed as Holy Days and on which work is suspended. These Holy Days mark key anniversaries of the Central Figures of the Bahá’í Faith and are observed with celebrations or commemorations. You are warmly welcolmed to attend one of these Holy Day observances.

  • Study Circles
The purpose of Bahá’í study circles is to provide participants with a space to explore the knowledge, spiritual insights, and skills to enable them to contribute to the betterment of society, starting with their own neighborhood. If you would like to have an open discussion about prayer, the purpose of life, and the journey of the soul after death, you are invited to participate in “Reflections on the Life of the Spirit” (Book 1). This is a small group study class with participants seeking to enrich their spiritual life. This study circle offers understanding of these subjects based on Bahá’í Sacred Writings and can be arranged based on your scheduling preferences.

  • Devotional Gatherings
The heart of a devotional gathering is the sharing of prayers and passages from Holy Scriptures of the world religions. Devotional gatherings are a chance for us to learn how to create an uplifting, spiritual atmosphere. This may involve music and the arts. The key is to help clear our minds from the anxieties of our daily lives and to meditate on our higher purpose. You are welcome to join a devotional gathering in Lincoln, and to simply sit, meditate and enjoy the atmosphere, or to play a more active role in hosting or organizing one.

  • Children and Junior Youth Spiritual Empowerment Groups
Children’s classes, junior youth spiritual empowerment groups, and youth groups offered by the Bahá’í community of Lincoln (and often led by youth) are open to all. Developing the moral capacities in our children, junior youth, and youth is of fundamental importance, not only to their own future happiness, but to the service and advancement of our entire society.

  • Home Visits
If you would like to visit with a Bahá’í to engage in a spiritual conversation, ask questions about the Bahá’í Faith, or share a prayer together, arrangements can be made to meet in your home or public location such as a coffee house, restaurant, park, library, etc. at your convenience.
